As the Extrasketch catalogue continues to build, founder and curator Andrew Rasse, aka Butane, continues to craft and shape yet another label showcasing a wealth of quality across the electronic sphere. Launched initially as a ‘vanity imprint’ and a new home for his solo productions, the label has since welcomed collaborations between Rasse and close friends Andras Toth and Riko Forinson. Here, the 34th instalment on the label sees things go back to basics as Rasse returns to home turf solo and offers up a slick two-track EP as he drops ‘Rumble In The Jungle’ to close out 2021.

Title track ‘Rumble In The Jungle’ reveals a heady and entrancing production as wandering organic percussion and hypnotic shakers are guided by enchanting vocal interactions, showcasing a cut perfect for hazy early morning hours. In contrast, ‘The Enchantment Is Over’ veers into more techno-tinged spheres as tight metallic drums and sizzling synth lines work in tandem to deliver a tense, suspenseful seven-minute ride. Top stuff as always.
